One thing that I've noticed this past week that is a matter of 'popular culture' is MTVU. This is what has been playing in the cafeteria every time that I go in to McCallie's. What it seems like to me is a bad taste in music being played most of the time and only every now and then will a song that I enjoy come on. It is interesting for me to think that MTV is something that, from what I've gathered, is very popular among other people in my generation. I know that MTV and MTVU is different but still the idea that this TV is popular is hard for me to grasp. I guess it's just not in my taste.

As I haven't experienced MTVU, I can't comment as to how entertaining it may or may not be, but the brand name MTV seems to me to have become more a venue for hit shows and commercials than hit music...so in my head, I'm having a hard time coming up with what songs might be played on MTVU?
